Martha Raffaele

Grant Specialist

Martha has an extensive communications background, including nearly a decade of experience as a grant writer. She excels at performing research to identify and qualify potential funders that best align with an organization’s mission, as well as managing projects to ensure timely completion of grant proposals and post-award reports. She joined DAZA Development after moving to central Pennsylvania from Albany, N.Y., where she was the grant writer for Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany.

In addition, Martha has 20 years’ experience as a newspaper and wire service reporter and editor. She spent much of her journalism career at The Associated Press, including an eight-year stint as a statehouse reporter in Harrisburg, PA, covering education, health care, and social services. She has a bachelor’s degree in English and journalism from Syracuse University.
